Me and Cynder fell from the Belt of Fire. I rolled onto the ground, tears streaming from my face, staining my scales and burning them at the same time. All I could think of was Ignuitus. I screamed at the top of my lungs. "IGNITUS! NOOO!" I felt my scales burn hotter. My eyes began searing in hot pain and pleasure. My scales began to shift to black as pain rippled through me. I opened my searing eyes, now glowing white, my pupils near invisible. Anyone who dare stood in my way would meet instant death. I glared down at a weak little shadow dragoness below me. I growled deeply. It just looked at me sadly and said.
"Spyro, please stop."
Pathetic whelp was trying to TEASE me! I would kill it if it was the last thing I do.
"Please Spyro…we have to stop Malefor….we can't let Ignitus's sacrifice be in vain."
I felt myself snap back to reality. Oh god. What had I done? I almost hurt Cynder. I cursed myself and considered suicide right then and there, but I knew Cynder would need me. I felt my scales cool and return to their light purple hue. My eyes returned to their normal amethyst and stopped glowing. I frowned at Cynder.
"I-I'm sorry."
She nuzzled me. "It's okay Spyro…it's not your fault."
I nodded and looked around at my surroundings. Pillars of flames erupted from the ground rapidly. Not one platform of black earth was untouched by evil. Molten hot cracks covered everywhere. I yelped and jump back as one small flame pillar erupted on my pads. I groaned in pain but shrugged it off. My breathing was hard, the ashes cutting off all hope of normal breathing. I nearly fainted at what Malefor had done to the world. Because I disappeared. I WOULD fix this! Malefor WILL die. I will rip his throat from his neck and feed it to the damned wolves and watch them tear it to shreds. He will WISH he had never even THOUGHT of doing this. I recognized where I was when I noticed a small dragonfly body on the ground. I looked at it and roared in anguish.
"Mom…." My foster parents lay on the ground in front of me. This was my old swamp home. He killed my parents. My heart now burned with the intensity of the sun. I ran forward only to yelp and be forced back by the damned chain around my neck. I growled and glared out at the floating castle nearby.
"Cynder, we are going, NOW!"
