Daniel Pierce was sitting on his couch, grading essays that were due today, yet, only half the class turned them in. 'Do people even check their spelling anymore?' he wonders as he gives "Goth Girl" a B. "Hey professor Pierce" he hears a familiar voice say, Daniel looks up from the essay he's reading to see Kate. But not present Kate, it couldn't be. This Kate looked younger, much younger. "Kate?" she just smirks at him "yup, professor, it's me." Daniel was very confused, since when did Kate call him 'professor'? "Kate, how did you get in? why do you look, look, so young?" Daniel asks her, curious.
Kate takes a seat next to him and looks at the essays he's already graded "I'm a college freshmen" is all she says. Daniel then understands whats going on; She a schizophrenic hallucination, she's not really there. He's just imagining her. In the middle of thought, and staring at Kate, he's interrupted my the knock at the door. He doesn't even call for Lewicki to get it, he gets up and answers it himself.
"Hello Kate" he says when he sees present Kate standing in his door way. Kate lets herself in "I got a case." Daniel loses focus on what present Kate was saying, "you know I'm totally into you, right, professor?" Freshmen Kate asks "you should make a move, you know, before she goes back to 'Mr. Wonderful'. "
Present Kate waves the case files in Daniels face "Daniel are you even listening?" Daniel keeps his eyes locked on freshmen Kate, "you right" he says to her. 'My younger self has come to me saying she's into me' Daniel thought, 'and now young Kate is telling me. My subconscious has tried to tell me for months.' Daniel finally answers real Kate, the Kate he's been in love with since she walked through his classroom door in 1999.
"No, I'm sorry I was thinking about something...much more important." Kate gives him a disgusted look, "more important than an innocent girl getting murdered?" Daniel walks over to her, so he's standing right in front of her. He breaths "I think so" as he puts his lips to hers, hard, desperate for her touch.
what do you guys think? should I keep writing stories?
