As Lindsay slumped to the floor, she couldn't help but think how much it hurt to be away from the one you truly love. Lucas Scott. Her hand reached out to her head, trying to stop the pain she was receiving. Lucas Scott.
Lindsay had made a promise. The promise to leave Lucas and Peyton behind. It was a tough decision. Although her past with Lucas seemed like an emotional roller coaster, the past was hard to forget. She kept questioning herself. How do you forget someone you love?
Staring at the wall in front of her, a memory of Lucas appeared in her mind. It definitely was one she wanted to forget, but because it reminded her of Lucas, maybe not. Life hurts.

Lucas had just entered through the door. Lindsay had a look on her face that told her question.
"Where were you tonight?" she asked worriedly.
"Out with the guys. Don't worry about me, Lindsay," he said placing his hands on her shoulders reassuringly.
Lindsay sighed the loudest you could ever make. Lucas stared at her weirdly, studying her expression.
"Wait. Is this about Peyton?" he said loudly.
"You don't think I worry about our relationship, Lucas?" she said annoyed.
"Lindsay, just remember, Peyton is a friend," stated Lucas.
Lindsay turned away from Lucas.
"I hope so," she said as her heart ached.

Peyton Sawyer. The single sound of her name made Lindsay's stomach lurched. Why had Peyton come to Tree Hill in the first place?
Lindsay shook her head. Still so many questions were yet to be answered. You could say she was clueless.
"Peyton, you're a bitch," murmured Lindsay not quite sure if she was drunk or hating Peyton now became her favorite hobby.
Lindsay never understood why Lucas chose Peyton over her, even though they had been through much more than her. Again her heart ached, and she clutched it longingly. Lucas was Lindsay's. Lucas was all hers. Hers all the way from the beginning.
"Lucas, you're a fool," she muttered grabbing her bag, heading for the door. No, Lindsay, you're the fool, she thought to herself.
