Dastan, the orphan prince

The king of Persia.
King Shahraman took him in
Raised him as a fellow prince.
Thus begins the life journey

Tamina, the princess
Guardian of the sands of time.
Hidden beneath the holy
City of Alamut.
The Persian army laid siege
To her beloved city.
Willing to marry Prince Tus
For the sake of her people.

By a twist of fate, Dastan
Fought an Alamutian
And came to possess
A unique dagger.

Misfortune befell Dastan
The gift he presented
To his beloved father
Was laced with fatal poison.
Accused of the murder,
Dastan escaped Alamut
With Tamina in tow.
The desperate princess
Tried to trick Dastan
To reclaim the dagger.

The dagger of time was
No ordinary dagger.
A push of the red jewel
On its hilt can reverse time.

Dastan witnesses
His father's funeral.
Meeting with his uncle
To plead his innocence.
Instead he finds out
Uncle Nizam possesses
The burnt hands of the guilty.

Nizam had once saved
Shahraman from a lion.
But he desires to be king,
Regretting his act of love.
He wants to find the Sandglass
To use it with the dagger
And undo his selfless act.
Fabricator of lies
That lead to the attack of
The city of Alamut.
Using his chance to find
The Sandglass of time.

Opening the Sandglass,
Releasing the sands of time,
Bringing about the end
Of the entire world.

Pursued by Hassansins
Resulting in the
Deaths of his brothers
And of a loyal friend.
Trying to stop Nizam,
Dastan and Tamina
Fall over the edge.
Tamina admits her love
Before she lets go
Of Dastan's grip and falls
To her death below.

Dastan in his grief
Grabs hold of the dagger
Embedded to the Sandglass.
Events were reversed
Back to when he first
Obtained the dagger.

He knew what he must do
To prevent history
From repeating itself, he
Reveals Nizam's treachery;
And returns the dagger
To its rightful guardian.
Alas, Tamina does not
Remember him or their love.
But Dastan looks forward
To a future with her.
He knows that their lives were

Connected by destiny.
