The Avengers had been asked to go and visit some children in hospital after the disastrous mission a few days before. Captain America, ever the patriot, agreed straight away and thats how the six Avengers found them selves in a childrens hospital at 11:30 on a wednesday morning.

Countray to popular belief, Tony Stark didn't hate children. In fact he loved them. The childish inoccents and they way they could always find the good in people made his heart swell. Unfortunately the other Avengers didn't know that.

"Hurry up, Stark. We're about to make some little kids very happy. Can you be anymore selfish?"

'well sorry, Capsicle but I'm trying my best' thought Tony bitterly. In fact Tony had been up all night worrying about this. He didn't want to make a bad impression on the kids.

It was a ten minute drive to the hospital and the Avengers spent an enjoyable morning at the hospital talking to the children. When it got to lunch the Avengers headed down to the canteen to get something to eat, when Clint had an idea,

"How about we make a tally chart?"

he suggested. Nat looked over at him with a raised eyebrow,

"A what?"

"You know a tally chart. On who their favourite super hero is."

"That's not a bad idea" piped up Bruce, who had been listening to the conversation.

"what do you think Cap?"

"It sounds good" replied Steve thoughtfully,

" I TOO LIKE THIS IDEA" boomed Thor. Tony-who had been sitting next to Thor-jumped,

"Inside voice buddy"

"I apologise Man of Iron" said Thor quiter. Tony Smiled, before he turndd back to the others,

"It's worth a try."

So for the rest of the day they went round the rooms and Bruce wrote down the figures. At quater past eight the Avengers prepared to leave while Bruce wrote down the results:

Captain America: 18BlackWidow: 14Thor:10Hawkeye:7Hulk: 6

Ironman:5Clint smiled,

"Bad luck, Stark. But no one beats Captain America" Tony smiled saddly and turned to go. When a Nurse rushed up to them,

"I'm so sorry for you're about to leave but there's one little boy in the ICU and he's really sick" none of them missed the he probably wont make it part "but I think he would really like to meet you" Steve stepped forward,

"of cause ma'ma, lead the way." The Nurse lead them to
