A Change
A drabble by Tifa Tyndal
Summery: Yuki was too much like them; he needed a change.
Disclaimer: Natsuki Takahashi… isn't she the one who owns it? Or does she ownInuyasha? Uhm… This is awful, I should know who wrote what manga/anime. Oh, no! Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed that Natsuki Takahashi did neither! She might not even exist! I apologize. Natsuki Takaya owns Fruits Basket and Rumiko Takahashi owns Inuyasha. Oops… In any case, I'm neither of those people… or Natsuki Takahashi. (I wonder if I can get an award for the longest disclaimer?)
Possible Spoilers: If you've been introduced to Ayame and Akito you should be fine. Especially if Tohru has met Akito, I refer to that scene.

He was too much like them.
Yuki had been told all his life he looked like Akito.
He'd also been told he looked like Ayame.
Two extremes and Yuki was caught in the middle.
The problem was… Yuki didn't want to be like either of them.
He might have had the charm of his brother and the mysterious shyness of Akito but he was so different from both of them. Yet every time people looked at him they could see Akito in his haircut and eyes while they saw Ayame in his good looks and unusual hair color. Yuki didn't like that.
He wanted to be his own person. He wanted to be unique. He had been living in someone else's shadow for far to long. He needed a change.
So in his spare time Yuki thought about a way to fix his problem and eventually he decided that the only solution was to do it. He was going to change himself hopefully for the better and no longer was he going to be thought of as a replica of his brother or Akito.
He just hoped Tohru could handle it.
"Oh, Yuki! You shaved your head!"

The End

I might be writing a sequel… maybe. More than likely it'd be about the Prince Yuki Fanclub girl's reaction. Anyway, if your wondering where I got the "looks like Akito" part from it's from episode 13 when Tohru first sees Akito and thinks "He looks just like Yuki!" Oh, and I just found out that you can watch the first three full episodes at the Fruits Basket website! (I'll post it on my profile page if you'd like) Have a happy New Year! –The Author
