Prologue
Humans have managed to find extraterrestrial life on a planet very similar to their own, named "Pokémon". In this newly discovered world, there are creatures, also referred to as "Pokémon". These Pokémon were given names (they actually chose their own names…), which were recorded in a book, which is now digitized, called the Pokédex. Listed in order of discovery, the pokédex is currently used for information on abilities, characteristics, behavior, and other facts about the Pokémon in question. Upon first touchdown on planet Pokémon, the technologies brought along, such as plants from planet Earth, were hijacked by various fighting type Pokémon of the Kanto region. There were thought to be no survivors, but the Oak family lived, no, not only lived, but was the first to inhabit Planet Pokémon. Now with many branches, such as the Masaki, the Stone, and the Ketchum, many discoveries and new useful inventions were developed. School systems now revolve around Pokémon. Studying Pokémon and discovering all sorts of unique details, such as the molten blood of a Magmar. Government protects the Pokémon, and the planet herself, by doing tasks such as dumping large quantities of water on a forest fire caused by a battle, or setting a safari zone where near-extinct Pokémon live. Pokémon are not to be permitted on any planet other than their own, for conservation and safety reasons. There are Pokemon battles, which are legal only if the battle follows the rules.
