A/N: Sorry it's short! Further chapters will be longer.
Everett felt his mind slipping. It'd been too long. Everyday. Everyday, it was the same old thing. Busting up robots who probably were just trying to do what they were programmed to do. Sure, they were invading Toon territory, but he knew they just wanted to expand their businesses and there wasn't really anywhere else to do it. He shoved his nose deeper into the law book he held in his gloved hands. He didn't like to think about that. He was a "defective" Toon. He matured and grew out of the childish, humor-loving, silly ways the Toons always held near and dear to their hearts. His house reflected that. There was a plain wood floor, and the walls were a pale blue. His furniture was plain too. The sofa and loveseat were white suede. The fireplace was plain white with plain wood trim. Everything was "boring."
He tried to be like everyone else. To fit in this crapsaccharine world and do what he was supposed to. That was unsuccessful. He didn't try anymore. He didn't want to try walked away from his home and looked at it with a weary smile. He'd miss it, but… He had better things, better prospects waiting for him at Lawbot Headquarters.
