Cravings
Lily sat in her living room, greatly desiring tacos and salad. She didn't know why because she didn't like tacos.
James came into the room, putting a jacket on over his pajamas. "You know, it should be against the law to make one's husband get up in the middle of the night to get something to assuage the cravings," he said, pecking her cheek.
She smiled as he left the house.
But while he was gone, her cravings for tacos waned and she started desiring ice cream.
She hunted down a carton in the freezer and ate the last half of it. She felt a little guilty, like a cat getting into the milk, but she got over it soon enough.
When she heard the sound of the door opening, she swiftly threw the carton away, and sat down at the table.
When James entered, he carried a bag of tacos and whatever else he assumed she would want (everything but ice cream, because he didn't realize she would finish it off).
He looked around the living room, wondering what she was doing, and placed the bag on the coffee table.
"Lily, where are you?" he asked, and heard the sound of her voice coming from the kitchen.
When he walked in and took a look at her face, he almost chuckled to death. She looked like a cat with milk (or cream) and was extremely proud of it.
And then he saw the empty Ice cream carton and the laughter he had been containing just spilled out. Lily looked at him, scandalized.
"You sent me off, to get tacos and everything else, and then eat all the ice cream," he said in between bursts of laughter.
"Yes, well, I began to crave it," she responded, starting to laugh too.
A/N: this is the end of the fic. Please review if you feel so inclined.
