For some inexplicable reason, Blair Waldorf's nose got puffy when she cried. Not enough for it to be a huge deal, just enough to be distinctly wider and rounder. She only knew this because she spent ages after using any means possible (concealer, highlighter, or just using her fingers, trying to re-mould it into its original shape) trying to hide it so no one would notice. No one ever did, of course. Not her mother or her father, not her perfect boyfriend Nate, not even her best friend Serena... They were all too caught up in their own lives to notice that Blair's nose was slightly puffed up. And even though she spent so much time determinedly trying to cover it up, she couldn't help but wish that someone cared about her enough to notice...

Blair managed to regain her composure just as the limo pulled up in front of Victrola. Eye drops had taken care of her eyes, red from crying, and her headband had been adjusted so it sat just so in her perfectly curled hair, but there was nothing she could about the nose. Not that it mattered. No one ever noticed anyway. She took a deep breath and stepped out of the vehicle.

"Where's Nate?" was Chuck's way of greeting her. Yeah, thanks for bringing THAT up so soon.
"I think we just broke up". She said it bluntly. As though it wasn't pulling her apart inside.
"What?"
"I don't want to talk about it. I just want to escape. That's what this place is for, right?" She made to walk inside, to get away from this conversation that could only lead to the very thing she was trying not to think about. Before she could take another step, however, Chuck grabbed her arm and spun her around.
"Blair, I know it helps you to act tough..."
"I'm FINE!" The words burst out, far more fiercely than she had intended. And it was then that Chuck said the only possible thing that could have surprised Blair out of her sorrow-induced anger:
"You're not fine. I can tell. You may not have noticed this but..." Chuck smirked a little "But when you cry, your nose gets all puffy"
And with that, he reached out and tapped her nose lightly before putting his arm around the shoulder of one very stunned Blair Waldorf and leading her into the club.
