On my profile.
The forest around me is quiet, and everyone is focused deeply intotheir dreams. He sits there, his eyes closed, he is asleep. He looks so peaceful; for once in his life it seems to be a deep sleep. Every now and then InuYasha's ears twitch. He must be having a dream and a damn good one too. A smile creeps onto his face and once again his ears twitch. I've never seen them move so much. I giggle out of sheer joy, he seems so happy.
I continue to watch. Minutes pass his smile remains, but what is this? InuYasha's smile has disappeared it has been replaces with a look of fear. His ears silently fall upon his head hiding themselves into his mane of silver locks.
I watch him. His fist clench so tightly that blood withdraws. I gasp. It must be awful.
I quickly crawl towards InuYasha and shake him softly; it doesn't seem to stop his dreaming. He gasps, it scared me. He seems to be gasping for air. I shake harder, he doesn't awaken. "InuYasha!" I whisper urgently. "InuYasha please wake up."
He seems not to hear me. I shake harder. My arms hurt. The dream is strong. He's scared, and I can tell, I've never seen that look on his face. It's scary. The longer I looked at his face the worse it seemed, a shiver ran down my spine. He was the one that gave me courage, always standing there strong, and proud with his Tessaiga.
I don't know what to do, seeing him so panicked frightens me. I need to awaken him. I'm so close to him that I can hear the quick pace of its heart. Its nerve wracking, he has to wake up. He has to wake up NOW.
I don't think I just do it; I plant my lips on his. It was quick and rough, but it did the trick. InuYasha awakens with sweat on his forehead, blood stained on his hands, and gasping for air.
I stare at him as his breath slows down. He looks down at me and blushes a deep red. He continues to look at me with intense eyes slowly burning into my own. I can tell he's reading my every thought. He looks so amused. I smile at him and he blushes darker and quickly turns his face and looks up at the sky. The stars are bright; it would take hours to count just how many were up there. They seemed to be shining just for us. I can't help but smile as we silently gaze at the heavens.
I look up at him again. Fright is still painted onto InuYasha's face, but the sweat has withdrawn, the wounds have stopped bleeding, and his breathing has returned to normal. The pace of his heart? I couldn't hear it; he was too far away from me. Once again my thoughts overcome me. I hug him and he silently wrapped his arms around me.
"Everything is going to be ok." I whisper into his ear.
And I knew that there is no need to say this because he realized this as soon as he saw me at his side. I knew I was there for him. Hopefully, forever.
THE END.
