Coke and Funyuns Rush
Disclaimer: I don't own Alex Rider, Lady Gaga, 98.7, or Poker Face. Although Maxwell, the cat, is MINE! Ha ha ha! Muahhhahahaha!
A/N: This, sadly, is what happened to me when I was on a Coke and Funyuns Rush. I even danced with my cat.
Alex Rider pushed the keyboard away, stood up, stretched, and yawned; he was satisfied with the email he had just sent Laura.
"There's no business like show business," he hummed to himself.
He walked to the kitchen and grabbed himself a coke. He opened it up, grinning at the popping noise the can made. He rummaged through the cabinets, looking for something decently unhealthy to eat. He found a bag of Funyuns and greedily opened the bag, stuffing as many of the delicious chips into his mouth as he could before Jack arrived home from grocery shopping and scolded him.
Alex turned on the radio to 98.7. 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga was playing.
"I'm not lying….somethin'-somthin'…p-p-p-p-p-p-poker face p-p-poker face," he sang, getting louder and louder to the point where he was yelling and banging his head.
He scooped up Jack's cat, Maxwell, and started waltzing around the living room, providing Lady Gaga with some unnecessary (and quite bad) beat boxing vocals.
"Yeah, you can't see my poker face, can you Max? Oh no, you can't because you're a cat!"
"Alex?" Jack had arrived home, done grocery shopping. But he didn't hear her. "Alex!"
"ALEX!" she shouted.
"Yeah?" he finally heard her.
"What the heck are you doing?"
