A Scare that frightened Holden

It was night, and Michael Holden was watching television as he waited for his wife Claudia Joy to return home with Denise. Emmalin was out with her friends, so Michael was by himself for a while. A commercial played when the telephone started to ring.

"Hello?" He said picking up the phone.

"She is? Is she okay?" He asked worriedly as he heard what had happened.

"I'll be over as soon as possible thank you." Michael said as he hung up the phone. He picked up the keys on the counter and almost ran out the door and shutting the door behind him.

Mercer Hospital

Michael ran into the hospital worried sick. The nurse greeted him as he came up to the desk.

"Are you General Holden?" The nurse asked.

"Yes, where is she?" He asked.

"Follow me please, she's right over here." The nurse said as she hurriedly lead him to his wife.

Once they walked in the room, Claudia Joy was in the hospital bed with an oxygen tank helping her to breath. Michael rushed up to her side and held her hand and kissed it.

"Claudia Joy, can you hear me?" Michael asked. Claudia Joy was sleeping, but that's what he thought. There's bad news.

"General Holden, I have some bad news." The nurse said, a little teary eyed. Michael face dropped as he grew terrified.

"What's going on?" Michael asked.

"Claudia Joy is in a coma, we do not know how long she will be in, the car accident has really messed her up. But we are doing everything we can to keep her breathing and alive." The nurse explained. For the first time in a long time Michael had tears coming down his cheeks.

"Thank you." Michael said to the nurse. The nurse nodded and walked out to give the couple some privacy.

"Claudia Joy Holden, I love you so much. Please please wake up. I don't know what I'll do if I lost you. When we lost Amanda, my world came shattering around me, if I lose you, I'll go mad." Michael said while crying like a little girl. He kept kissing her hand, and holding it tight.

A/N something I came up, was watching army wives and thought I'd write a little something of my own about the car accident. I hope that I'll get plenty of reviews. Tell me what you think…
