Isn't it funny how the most life changing things happen as coincidences? Like maybe if you hadn't sat next to that kid in class when you were little you would be best friends now. Or if you hadn't watched that animal planet documentary that one time you wouldn't be studying to become a vet. This is what happened to Charlie.

Charlie was a just a regular twenty-something year old British guy. Don't get me wrong, there was something very unusual about him. He was extremely smart. And good with computers. In fact, he was a fulltime youtuber (his job was to post videos online and actually, he was pretty popular). Charlie McDonnell was also a big fan of the show Doctor Who.

Why is that relevant in this story? Because if it wasn't for Doctor Who he wouldn't have thought of the date Amy Pond met the doctor for the first time in her back garden and run out the house just to stare at the sky that day. He did this every year. Just to think of Amy finally living her wonderful adventure made him happy. He smiled. He liked to dream one day he would travel and see the world himself. It was sort of his little secret, not even Alex or Bryaly knew.

It started getting extremely cold outside. It looked like a storm was coming. Charlie wasn't sure about that but a noise also came with it. It was a…a…a TARDIS noise? But that was impossible! The TARDIS is just a box in a TV show! It wasn't real, was it?

In that moment, it didn't look unreal at all. In fact, the blue box was in front of him, just there. This isn't real. It can't be, Charlie, you had way too much sugar this morning. Charlie just stood there, staring. What else was he supposed to do?

Paralyzed he watched as the door was opened by someone. Wait, is this like, real doctor who? Like, is David Tennant going to come out and ask me to go with him? Or is it Christopher Eccleston. Or Matt Smith. Or even Tom Baker or one of the early doctors! Charlie, they're not real, it's a bloody tv show so stop it. But the TARDIS. It's right there.

Prepared to see a doctor from the series he waited. Finally he saw the face of the travelling man. And he looked like... like…like Andrew Scott? I mean, not entirely but he resembled to Moriarty from Sherlock? It couldn't be. How?

So as far as he understood, the Doctor and his TARDIS were real and his regeneration turned out to be a sort of Jim Moriarty, with a suit and all.

He didn't realize how much time has passed until the Doctor spoke.

"You must be Charlie" were his first words to him.

Internally screaming Charlie mumbled an answer that not even he could understand.

The Doctor smirked.

"The Doctor" he said "HII"
