"Please Victor, please!" Molly Hayes begged, shaking her head full of brown hair around as she tried to put her kitty hat on. "Tell us a bedtime story!" Victor sighed, running a hand through his own messy brown hair. Nico had been trying to get Molly and Klara to go to bed forever, and they were finally in bed. They just wouldn't go to sleep, and Nico had already used a go to sleep spell once before.
"A bedtime story?" Klara asked, sounding confused. She was laying in her bed, playing with her sleek black hair in hand. The only thing keeping her from sleeping was Molly, and the only thing keeping Molly from sleeping was... everything.
"Oh come on Victor!" Molly exclaimed desperately. "Klara doesn't even know what a bedtime story is!" A that she through up her arms expressively. "You have to tell us one please!" Victor sighed once again, realizing that the only way Molly was ever going to sleep was if he told the two girls a bedtime story and even then she might not go to bed.
"Fine." Victor sat down on a chair in the middle of Klara and Molly's beds and searched his brain for a story to tell. He hadn't ever really told a bedtime story so you know. "Once upon a time there were two large tropical islands. On one island lived a grumpy old man-"
"Are there going to be princesses in this story?" Molly asked, peaking out from underneath the covers she had hidden under once Victor said he would tell them a story.
"No?" Victor asked, not sure why it mattered if there would be princesses or not.
"But there has to be princesses Victor! All bedtime stories have princesses in them!" Victor knew that wasn't true, but he started over anyways.
"Once Upon a time there were to large magical kingdoms. In one kingdom lived a beautiful princess. She wore-"
"A pink gown!" Molly interrupted excitedly.
"She wore a pink grown, and lived with her mother and father the king and queen. In the other kingdom there was a princess as well, except she wore-" Victor continued, ignoring the interruption.
"A orange gown!" Molly interrupted again.
"She wore a orange gown. She lived with her mother and father the king and queen as well," he said this with a bit of a grumpy tone, not liking the interruptions. "One day the pink princess gazed upon the orange princesses land and decided that she wanted the pink princesses land, and that same day the orange princess gazed upon the pink princesses land and decided that she wanted her land as well. But when the two princesses refused to give up their own land, a giant war broke out. The two kingdoms began to fall-" At that Victor was interupted again.
"Why didn't they just swap?" Molly asked, looking innocently over at Victor. He froze in the midst of the story looking over at Molly.
"What?" He asked.
"Why didn't they just swap kingdoms. They both wanted the others kingdom so why not just swap?" Victor thought about this for a moment, realizing the reason in this.
"This story was supposed to be about sharing," Victor grunted and Molly gave him a skeptical look.
"It would be easier to just swap," Molly answered innocently. Victor looked at Molly and then jumped up flying out of the room.
"Just go to bed!" He exclaimed, and slammed the door behind him. Molly and Klara looked at each other quietly.
"Is that how a bedtime story usually goes?" Klara asked, her eyes wide and full of curiosity.
"No. Karolina is better at telling bedtime stories. Want to go bug her until she tells us one?" Molly asked, swinging her legs out from under the covers on her bed.
"Sure." Klara replied, and the too ran out of the room.
