Someone's Watching Over Me, a noughts and crosses fanfic

Someone's Watching Over Me:

Sephy's belief in Callum had been restored. Part of her was extremely calm and happy about this, while another part of her hated herself. She hated that for years she had believed that Callum hated her. She knew now that Callum loved her as much as she loved him. Years had passed since his death but Sephy found herself in tears over him again.

So I won't give up
No I won't break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around

Even if it all goes wrong
When I'm standing in the dark I still believe

Sephy felt like Callum was close to her. The second letter had done more than tell her Callum loved her, it had brought Callum back to her. All those years ago, Sephy had felt like she had lost Callum twice. The first time when he was killed and the second when the first letter tore her childhood memories to pieces. Ut not she had her memories and her belief back in tact.

I've seen that ray of light
And it's shining on my destiny
Shining all the time
And I won't be afraid
To follow everywhere it's taking me

When the chance for real happiness comes by grab it with both hands and devour it. Along with the rest of the letter Sephy had read that line over and over. It posed her with a question; Sonny or Nathan? She was finally ready after all these years to truly put Callum behind her, though she would never stop loving him. Who was the right man for her though? Sony who she loved like she loved Callum or Nathan who she loved but differently.

All I know is yesterday is gone
And right now I belong
To this moment
To my dreams

Callum had always wanted her to be happy, he wanted her to move on, to live her life. 'You could've told me that a bit sooner' she said aloud. If only she had known that before she made such a mess of her life. The decision of which guy left Sephy's mind as she realised she needed to make everything up to Callie. She had to much to make up fore, she needed to make Callie stop hating her. And stop hating Callum.

Sephy felt stronger than she had felt in a long time. She didn't know how she was going to mend her relationship with Callie, but she knew she would find a way. Her daughter was the most important thing and showing she cared was important. She just hated how long it had taken for her to actually realise this.

It doesn't matter what people say
And it doesn't matter how long it takes
Believe in yourself and you'll find
And it only matters how truly you are
Be true to yourself and follow your heart

'You'll help me, won't you Callum? Sephy was sure that if anyone heart her talking to someone who had been dead for years they'd think she was crazy, but she didn't care. She felt like Callum was with her in spirit and he'd help her.

'We can do this' Sephy said. 'I can do this' She could live the rest of her life without Callum hanging over everything. Now she knew the love was mutual she could let go

And after all, he wasn't completely gone. He was still watching over her.
