Zozi sighed heavily sitting down on his chair. He thought about his actions and words. He regretted them almost immediately. The shattered look in his best friend's eyes was too much for the bear.

He listened to the storm raging outside and watched the lightning flash brightly.

"Bartok, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean what I said. I just hope that you're not out there in this storm." He said though he knew the little bat wasn't there to hear the apology. They had never argued that badly in all their years of friendship. Once in a while the two would argue over small things but the shouting and anger never lasted long.

This time, Zozi had gone too far and he hated himself for it. In honesty, Zozi knew that he had just been blaming his friend for something he had nothing to do with.

"It's always about what you want!" He had screamed"Sometimes I wish you'd just go away!" Zozi was jealous of his friend, Bartok knew how to get people's attention and keep it during a performance, he could tell a story and captivate the audience. Zozi who wanted to be an actor had been turned down time after time for stage productions.

Bartok was gone now and Zozi was alone. The rain outside began to fall harder, pounding angrily against the house.

"Of course, it always rains in times like this, he'll come home,he has to. Bats can't fly in the rain so he'll have to find somewhere to stay until the storm's over and I'll go find him and tell him I'm sorry." Zozi thought out loud. He stood up and made his way over to his bed and laid Dow staring up at the ceiling. There wouldn't be any sleep tonight, not until he knew that his friend was safe.
