Tonks and Kingsley had been on the look out for a certain group of young supposed Death Eaters who had been creating havoc in London for the past few weeks when they thought they saw one of them running into an arcade in muggle London. Of course, both of them hurried straight inside in pursuit of the boy. One of the security guards grabbed Tonks, "Are you one of those hell-raisers who destroys things, Missy?" he said to her, treating her rather childishly.
Tonks rolled her eyes, glancing at Kingsley as if to tell him to go on without her. She hated her hair being that bright sometimes. "I'll get him if he comes out," she said to Kingsley who nodded and hurried inside after the boy. She then turned back to the man who had stopped her, "First of all, I have a name. It's Tonks. Use it," she said, her hand going to one of her pockets, only to have a gun thrust in her face.
"Hands where we can see 'em," the guard snapped at her, one of them having now gone after Kingsley as well as they realised they were together.
"Look, I'm a plain clothed officer," she growled in response, her hand going into her pocket regardles of the warning and she pulled out her muggle security badge that Moody had given her in case she ever needed to use it. Now, she was extremely glad he had done. Before, she had just found it a tiresome, tedious task to have to carry it around. "Now, can I please continue following my suspect?" she asked, shrugging out of the grasp of the officer.
"Sorry, Ma'm," he said apologetically, "I wasn't aware that any officers would be coming here," he added as he opened the door for her.
"Neither were we," she snapped, rolling her eyes and then running after Kingsley. He may well have caught the boy by that point, after all, and she knew it wasn't a job for one Auror to do alone. Kingsley was much more capable of capturing people than she was as she often found herself lying on the floor after diving over something but backup was always nice. Much to her surprise though, she found him standing and watching the boy on a machine that he was clearly very curious about. "Kingsley?" she hissed, "You're meant to be catching him, not watching him!" she exclaimed.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, right," he said and the two of them managed to grab him, pin him to the floor and then he was taken away by other Aurors who had arrived by this time. Tonks was extremely grateful for the sudden backup and guessed Kingsley must have called for it. She then tried to find him but was unable to do so. She frowned, finally looking back at the machine where she saw he was watching someone else playing on it.
"Never seen one of them before?" she asked him and he shook his head, simply watching in awe. She smiled, "It's a dance machine. Dance Dance Revolution, I think that one's called. There's loads of them," she smiled, guiding him to a whole line of them. "See?"
Kingsley simply nodded, then smiled a little, "They look strange. That's some odd dance, right?" he asked, watching a girl who looked like she was going insane on one of them.
"Yeah, they have odd routines," she smiled, deciding to lead Kingsley outside before he got too interested in the arcade games there. Maybe she would take him back there one day but they were supposed to be working after all.
