For the eyes and mind of Kakashi Hatake

For the eyes and mind of Kakashi Hatake.

As always, I wish you love, however, this letter is for more than the sweet nothings I wish to say to you in person.

Today has been a bore, as usual. Starting with the simple tasks of a nurse in the hospital, I moved my way up until the work was done and it was well past sundown. Making my way to report in to Tsunade-sama, I strode past Ino.

Now this is where it gets difficult. As I started to pass by her, she stopped and turned back to me, as if to ask me something. Though I was in a hurry—I needed to get home, wasn't feeling that great—I stopped for Ino and regarded her.

Enough said, she believes that I am pregnant.

No, you don't have to worry, it is yours. However, there is the fact that soon I won't be able to hide it. Tsunade will find out in less than a month, I am sure of it.

So the thing is, I am not sure what to do.

Please contact me soon.

Always yours,

Sakura.

Kakashi scanned the letter once. Twice. And just for the heck of it, a third time. However, no matter how many times he re-read the letter, it still said pretty much the same thing.

You're screwed.

Wiping a stray drip of sweat off of his brow, he carefully placed the letter back on his desk. What was he to do now? It was obvious that they weren't going to be able to hide it. There were a few things about Sakura that people were bound to notice in a couple months.

Shit. He knew he should have been more careful with her. How far in could she be? Kakashi calculated in his head how long ago their first time was. Ten, twelve weeks?

Kakashi cursed again. How could he have been so careless?

What would people think? It wasn't as if she was a child anymore, but a thirteen year difference in age was bound to add up to some sort of trouble. Especially with Tsunade. He had just taken Tsunade's number one pupil from her. This wasn't going to end well.

Wait...

Kakashi paused, breath held. He was going to be a father... He didn't know how to be a father. The light-haired shinobi was overwhelmed. He had never even planned to settle down, let alone have children.

Rising from his seat, he came slowly to the window. Gripping the dark blinds gently, he drew them open, sending an array of light into the dimmed room. They would have to marry, that much was certain. He wouldn't abandon Sakura. The thought never even crossed his mind.

But how was he to care for her? He was gone constantly, and always ran the risk of death. Especially now, with the war between them and the hidden Rock village. What was a man supposed to do?

All in all, one thing was clear. Sakura was going to give birth, whether he liked it or not, and he was going to be there for her. Tsunade would understand.

Wouldn't she?
