Padme sat on the couch her eyes glued to the Holo-screen. The Nubian Senator was listening intently for any word on her secret husband, Anakin Skywalker and his Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. As Padme listened and watched her right hand playing with the Japer Snippet Anakin gave her as a gift all those years ago. Her left hand rested on her abdomen feeling for any movements from the gift Anakin had given her just a few months ago.
Padme had been shocked, yet extremely excited when she learned about the newest edition to the Skywalker family. She wondered how Anakin would react when he learned about the baby. 'Though, at this rate, the baby will probably been born by the time Ani gets back. If he comes back,' Padme thought.
"Now to the Outer Rim Sieges," the Holo-reporter said. Padme sat straight up. "I'm sorry to report that Generals Kenobi and Skywalker are MIA. The two were last seen on the planet of Genoudi. The Jedi Council is not letting out any more details. It is obvious we all devastated by the loss of the Hero With No Fear and the Negotiator…"
Padme's hand went straight to her mouth as the tears started to flow. Her heart broke and a feeling of hopelessness washed over the soon-to-be-mother. She went out to the balcony where she had shared many tender moments with her young lover.
As the sorrow-filled woman looked to the barley visible stars, one of which her husband could be dyeing on, or dead, Padme couldn't help but wondering
'Where are you my Love…?'
