Derpy and The Doctor had been infiltrating a Dalik base, running through together, dodging the Daliks as explosions followed behind. They had accidentally detonated a bomb in the control room, which was supposed to go somewhere else, so things weren't going so well for the two. But they were ahead of the blast and were making it to the TARDIS when their luck vanished.

They had been running for quite a while, but they made it. Entering the TARDIS and closing the door, quickly setting off for Ponyville and safety. "Phew, that was close." Derpy spoke, looking at The Doctor and panting, but smiling nonetheless. "Yeah, it sure was." Doctor Whooves replied, looking at his very first companion and his one love. "We should get back to mine, I need to get back to take care of Dinky."

Derpy sat down on the steel floor, its temperature cold, which felt refreshing from what happened just a few minutes ago, burning hot fire following them. But it didn't take long before they were right outside Derpy's home. Smiling, she left the TARDIS. Entering her small house to find Dinky asleep by the door, waiting for her mother to return.

Derpy gently nudged Dinky, waking her up slowly. "Hey there, I'm home." she spoke, her voice soft and caring. "Sorry we took so long." "It's fine Mom.." she replied, her voice low and tired, yawning gently. Which made Derpy smile more, picking her up.

"Doc, stay here, I'm putting this little one to bed." she spoke before trotting up the stairs and placing her into her comfy little bed, a light pink quilt being placed over her stomach. She opened her mouth slowly, getting ready to sing her little lullaby. "Stars and moons and air balloons~" she sang, her little lullaby for Dinky. She had sung it for the Doctor once before, but it had always been for Dinky when she needed to sleep. "Fluffy clouds to the horizons~" "I'll wrap you in rainbows... and rock you to sleep again~"

She looked to the young filly and smiled, gently placing a kiss atop her head before leaving the room, gently closing the door. She began to trot down the stairs before a shock hit her head. "Ouch.." she whispered, rubbing her head gently. But what she didn't know, was that this was the beginning to a terrible loop in time, where the Doctor will have to be at his best.
