For Her Sake
The Pokemon League, a place where trainers from all corners of the world gather together to compete in heart-racing fights to see who really is the best among all. It was no different here at the Kalos league, held at the heart of the Kalos region, Lumiose City. Over 300 trainers are to compete in this competition, and among them is a raven hair trainer from Pallet Town, Ash Ketchum.
Ash was sitting on a bench by himself in the waiting room. His pulse racing, his whole body shaking. This was it. He had never gotten this far into the league, the finals, in his journey thus far. It was an exciting and also scary thought.
He saw the matches of that guy, his name was Alain. He had defeated all of his opponents with only Charizard. Add to that he had the capability of Mega Evolving his Charizard turning it into a deadly opponent.
Ash wasn't that worried about the Mega Charizard, he has his own Mega Ring and a Mega Stone for his own Charizard. It was the fact that he still had 5 more Pokemon for him to deal with.
"Ash?"
Ash nearly fell off the bench as he was jolted back into reality. He looked up to see who it was, it was Serena,
"Serena?" Ash said. "How did you even get here? I thought this place was off limits."
"Well... I asked Clemont to create a distraction for the guard who was guarding the entrance." Serena said. "He was going to use an invention to do so but you know, it exploded, but I guess that worked just as well huh."
Ash chuckled at that, Clemont's invention sure is helpful sometimes.
"So what are you doing here?" Ash asked with a confused look on his face.
"Well, I just wanted to see if you're alright." she said.
"I see." the raven haired trainer said. "I really appreciate your concerns for me Serena."
"Th... Thanks Ash." Serena said as she quickly looked away,hiding the blush she had.
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! The Kalos League finals are about to begin!" a voice came over the intercom that was in the room.
"Well, that's my cue." Ash said as he stood up from the bench. "Wish me luck Sere-" Ash was interrupted with a pull from Serena into hug, and with Serena kissing him in the lips.
"Win this battle Ash, I know you can" Serena said as she let go of Ash and walked out of the room, leaving Ash in a daze at what just happened.
Ash stood there for what felt like an eternity before he finally realized what just happened. Ash then smiled.
"You got to win this battle." Ash said himself as he walked out of the waiting and into the platform into the stadium. "Win it for her."
