A/N: Hey guys. I have a thing for hurt Dan stories and ca't seem to find very many, so I thought, I'm an author. Why not just write some of my own? I made the first chapter pretty short because I didn't know if anyone else was interested in this sort of thing. If you are just leave a quick review and if enough of you like it I'll upload more chapters. Thanks for reading!
Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I do not wish this on Dan or anyone else.
"Make sure you get lots of colorful sprinkles!" Phil called.
"Yes Phil," Dan mumbled as he walked out the door. They were making a baking video for Saint Patrick's Day. Chocolate cupcakes with rolos in the middle decorated with green icing and sprinkles. Dan had volunteered to go to the store since he couldn't remember the last time he went outside. He didn't particularly like going to the store. It involved too much social interaction and, depending on the video he was preparing for, a lot of explanation.
The walk to the store wasn't long, which was one of the reasons they'd chosen their flat. It was in close proximity to everything they'd ever need. He pulled his hoodie over his face to hopefully avoid being recognized. It wasn't that it happened every time he went outside, but it was often enough that Dan was careful to cover his face when he was alone. He loved his fans but Phil was much better at talking to them. He just sort of stood there awkwardly and took the picture the fan inevitably asked for. He did have slightly longer arms.
Dan walked into the grocery store with a fond smile on his face. He loved making videos with Phil and the baking ones were the best. He pureused the isle of baking supplies making sure to get extra sprinkles in case Phil ate them all before the video. As he walked to the counter he heard a loud "OHMYGOD" from behind him. He let out a sigh. So close.
"Hey," he said turning around.
"OHMYGOD You're Dan! I love you so much! I watch all of your videos! You're like my hero!"
"Uhh thanks," Dan replied, "Glad you like the videos. What's your name?"
"I'm Susan"
"Wait really," Dan laughed.
"Yep. Could I have a picture."
"Of course." Dan replied putting his arm around the girl.
She blushed as a woman Dan presumed was her mother raised her phone to take the picture. Out of the corner of his eye, Dan noticed a group of guys enter the shop with dark hoods on. Dan's smile began to slip as one man raised a gun, pointing it at girl. Without thinking Dan shoved the girl to the ground, hearing a loud bang as he fell.
He didn't feel anything at first. Just lay there praying that the girl hadn't been shot. That he'd noticed in time. Then he felt it. The searing agony shooting through his left shoulder. He tried to scream but all that came out was a tiny whimper. Dan looked up to see the men, five of them, round up the other shoppers and tie their hands behind their backs with zip ties. The fan and her mom were looking at him in horror. Other shoppers turned hostages glanced as well, faces showing shock and desperation, before looking away.
One of the men approached him.
"Hey Mark!"
"Yeah Jerry" Another man, presumably Mark looked up.
"Isn't this that guy you were telling me about?"
"What guy?"
"The little bitch boy you've been dreaming of."
At this, Dan scrambled to his feet, ignoring the scream of protest from his shoulder. He backed up a couple steps as Mark and Jerry came closer.
"Holy fuck, it's him"
The man looked at him with a hunger in his eyes that had Dan shaking in fear.
"You want money?" Dan tried, "I'll give you how ever much you want! And I won't tell anyone you shot me, you can go free! I swear!"
Mark laughed. "Oh we're gonna have some fun with you!"
End Notes: Thanks and don't forget to review!
