So, I just watched episode 10 of Brotherhood, and I'll be honest. I cried. I have an emotional attachment to Hughes, and I'm really sad that he has to die.
So, in honor of our fallen comrade Hughes, I wrote this poem. It's from Roy's point of view, and in no way RoyxHughes. I wrote it at 10:30 pm, so it might not be the best. Tell me what you think!!!!
Disclaimer: If I owned FMA, Hughes would be alive.
Do you remember?
By Roy Mustang
Do you remember then?
The plans we made
On the battlefield
Young, foolish, idealistic
We planned to change the world.
Do you remember then?
"I'll support you."
You said
"I'll help you to the top"
That's what you said back when.
Do you remember then?
Finding leads and clues
Of plots and intrigue
Ouroboros tattoos
And souls bound to armor.
Do you remember then?
You cracked the code
Of blood and maps and clues
You tried to warn us
But we were too late.
Do you remember when?
That cool autumn night
A blue telephone booth
And green grass
Stained with fresh red blood.
Do you remember then?
The phone line dead
I had no idea what you said
No idea…
That you weren't there
Do you remember then?
A twenty-one gun salute
And promotion of two ranks
For falling in the line of duty
But it's all empty thanks
They can't remember then
The plans we'd made
Now you leave me here alone
Trying to find my way
I'm lost without you.
I'll remember then,
I know what I must do.
I'll protect the ones I love
Even if I couldn't protect you.
I'm sorry.
I'll avenge you, Hughes.
Because I remember then.
So, was it good, or awful? Reviews are appreciated!!!
