What Was Found
By SMYGO4EVA
Sometimes June just felt so tired of it all.
She'd made her bed, the dent that used to be her husband's side now fully gone, finally lifted. She knew full well that her bed would never be enough for him.
So why did she feel so weighted down? And why did talking to Agent Fowler cheer her up so very excessively?
Was it being able to share her burden or the kiss she'd felt compelled to steal from Fowler before he would be off to work?
His companionship and his presence was something very sweet and much appreciated. It was something she'd needed to remind her she was still alive.
Being adults surrounded by children, especially after the 'milk run' incident, actual quality time with another adult felt rewarding in more ways than one.
She hoped Jack didn't mind.
(A/N: Can you believe it? This is my 600th fic! Many thanks for all the support you have given me so that I can continue to write stories for you all and I appreciate every word you have given.)
