AN: Sorry it took a bit, but I didn't like the way the story was at first and decided to rewrite the first two chapters. I hope that everyone likes the sorry and please remember to review.

Prologue

The figure of a teenage girl sat in the principal's office, her nerves and temper abnormally testy. Her grandfather was talking with him, telling him he was sorry for what happened and that her snapping on the student she had slugged was because of the trauma she had just gone through with the death of her friend. He understood and agreed to let this go as a warning. Everyone had been expecting Graysyn to pop since Nadia died and her mother had started partying.

"What the hell was that?" Hank growled as they walked out of the building. "I don't know...Carter started smack talking about seeing mom in the club and that I should be more fun like her...I just snapped." Graysyn said, tears starting to form in her eyes, "Grandpa, I don't know why I snapped okay...I been feeling like I am going to explode all day."

Hank looked at her, seeing the truth and fear in her eyes. He was supposed to drop her off to her aunt and uncle's house in Crystal Lake that evening. He sighed, calling someone else as they got into his truck.

"Hello?" They said. "If I put her on a plane will you pick up Grayse in a couple hours?" Hank replied. "Graysyn...what is wrong?" The accented voice asked. "Erin, if I don't get her out of this town, she's going to end up in juvie." Hank repiled. "Of course Hank...Graysyn, what is wrong?" He asked.

"I don't know daddy, I'm just pent up and I punched a kid today for no reason." She sniffed. "Sounds like your wolf genes are starting to make themselves known...Don't worry love." He replied, "The private jet is there, drive her over and I'll call them now." "You got it, I'll let her pack some things here and let her say good bye, give me three hours." Hank said. "Of course, see you later, love." The Brit smiled. "Bye daddy." She replied.

The line dropped and Hank turned to her, nodding. He held a copy of the family court agreement. Erin had signed her over to Hank that summer and Hank gave full custodial rights to Klaus. They did this to protect Erin and Graysyn.

"Come on, pack a few outfits, I'm sure your father will get you more." Hank told her. "Okay." She sighed, making him nod. "I'll worry about withdrawing you later." He replied.

She packed a few of her favorite cool weather outfits and her electronics into the skull and roses suitcase and duffel. Her eyes scanned her room with sad eyes as she sighed, realizing she might now be home again. Hank smiled as he looked at her.

"You'll be back." He told her, making her nod. "Okay." She smiled.

When they got to the precinct, Trudy and Al were talking when they walked in. They saw the teen there and frowned. They both knew what had happened.

"What is she doing here?" Trudy asked. "...I'm sending her to her old man in Virginia...judge's orders." Hank said, making her gasp. "What...when?" Trudy asked. "This afternoon." He replied.

"You okay kiddo?" Al asked hugging her. "Yeah...just freaked out." She sighed. "I bet...you'll like it there, its different from here." He told her. "I know, the town he's in has the population of my school." Graysyn said, making him chuckle. "Less likely to get in trouble." He teased, making her scoff. "Please." She grinned.

"You better call me, do you hear me, Graysyn Rose?" Trudy asked. "Yes Aunt Trudy." She smiled. "Good, and behave for your father, he will keep you safe." She told her.

"Gracie-May!" Jay called, coming in with the others. "You know, I'm actually gonna miss that." She grinned. "Why, you leaving?" He asked. "My dad just got custody of me." She told him.

"What...when did this happen?" Antonio frowned. "Yesterday, Klaus is a good guy, a bit of a pain in the ass, but a good guy." Hank said. "You coming back to visit?" Kevin asked.

"Of course she will, right?" Adam asked. "Duh, he'd have to chain me to the basement to keep that from happening." Graysyn smiled. "Good...gonna miss having you around, you've become like a kid sister to me." He said. "To me too, you know Burgess is gonna hate this." Kevin said, "And I'm loosing the best baby sitter ever." "I know...where are Kim and Sean?" She asked.

"On patrol, they'll meet you up there, I promise." Trudy said, knowing she was not going to leave without saying goodbye. "Okay...when do I leave?" She asked, looking at her grandfather. "An hour, I'll talk to your mother." He promised. "Okay...will you get my clothes from her place, bring them to the house in Crystal Lake?" She asked, "I have expensive things there." "Of course, I know Bunny already destroyed those $1500 boots of yours." Hank said.

"Dang, what were they?" Jay asked. "Tony Lama." She sighed, making Trudy chuckle. "Ouch." He said.

Just before they got to the tarmac, Roman and Burgess pulled up behind Hank's truck and got out. The pair stopped as the crew took her suitcase and let her have her computer bag. She smiled softy as the cold wind blew against their faces.

"You're leaving!" Kim said. "Yeah, daddy and Grandpa Hank have worked a custody thing...I'm going to Virginia." She told her, hugging her tightly. "You will love it there, I spent time in basic there." Roman smiled. "I've heard that...not sure how I feel about being in a super tiny town, but who knows." Graysyn sighed. "Make sure you call us when you land...and what school is like." Kim said. "I will, daddy probably has a tutor lined up, we travel alot with him." She told him. "Fun." She smiled.

"Alright, your plane is about to leave...take care of yourself and take this." Hank said, putting a small wad of cash in her hand, "Use it for your room...be good." "Okay...I'm going to miss you most of all." She said, hugging his neck. "As will I kiddo, be good." Hank told her. "Okay." She sniffed, making him smile.

The three officers watched as she walked with her head held high towards the jet. She did not stop to look back until she reached the top of the steps to wave goodbye. Hank waved back and watched as she smiled, before disappearing to her seat. It was going to be a long three hour flight.

"Godspeed Graysyn." He whispered, watching as the jet started to move.

"She'll be alright." Kim said, making him nod. "I know...I want you two to go sit on Erin's apartment, let me know if she is there. I need to have a word with her." Hank said. "Got it Serge." Roman replied, making him nod.

Two hours later, Hank's truck pulled up and headed inside. Bunny was shocked to see him there, wondering what he was doing there.

"Bunny, I need to talk to Erin." He said, making her frown. "Why...something happen to Graysyn?" She snipped. "Actually, she's probably almost to Mystic Falls by now." Hank replied, making her glare. "What...you can't do that." Bunny frowned.

"Can't do what?" Erin asked, coming out of her room. "Graysyn is on a plane by herself to Virginia." Bunny said, making her eyes widen. "You called Klaus!" Erin growled. "I got your daughter out of town before she killed someone and triggered her wolf curse..which has been showing its ugly head...she slugged a student today." Hank told her.

Her eyes got wide, realizing that her daughter was going become a wolf soon and that she was going to be more like her father than any of them wanted. Erin could only hope that she was safe.
