Not mine, no it isn't. I wish it was, but it's not!

Xanthophobia. A condition that James Potter unknowingly suffers from. It's just, he hasn't discovered it yet. He hasn't noticed that when he sees a lone dandelion growing, he cringes away. He hasn't noticed that when his love came down the stairs from the Girl's dorm, he turned and walked back out.

Three hours. That's how long Lily was looking for James. She ran outside, screaming for him. She stood in the sunlight, the grass tickling her bare feet. Her shoes were in her hands. She squinted and skipped down to the lake. There he was, reading.

"James?" Lily said cautiously, stepping over to him. He looked up and smiled.

"Hi-ah!" He looked at her dress, and shifted away. "Why?"

"Z?" Lily said, sitting next to him. "What's wrong, love?" Lily picked at a loose thread on James' pants.

James shifted his foot away. "Heyaaah!"

Lily looked at James with a hurt expression. Her eyes were wide and naïve. James looked into her green eyes and visibly relaxed. "Wow, Lils. I didn't even try that. I am so sorry!" James took Lily's hand.

She smiled. "Do you like my new dress?" Lily stood and spun, her dress flowing out around her knees. The dress was a simple yellow sundress.

James' eyes widened. "No," he paused, "I mean, yeah!" He said. Lily smiled and sat down, then flopping on her back.

"What's wrong?" She asked, yet again, taking his hand.

"It's just, lately I've been, oh, I don't know, Lily." James sighed, shifting away from Lily.

Lily turned to face James. "Oh." She picked a dandelion and put it behind James' ear. "You look stunning," joked Lily.

James screeched and flicked the dandelion from behind his ear.

"James, are you afraid of the colour yellow?" Lily took a stab in the dark. James yelled. Lily grinned. "Yellow. Yellow. Yellow."

James jumped away, and bumped into a Hufflepuff. He looked down at the student's uniform and screamed.

"James!" Lily shouted, following him. "James! It's only a colour!" Lily called, but James kept running.

James ran into his room and hid under his deep scarlet comforter. "No. More. Yellow!" He shouted into his pillow.

Lily walked carefully into his room, wearing a black sweater over her dress. "James?"

"Damn yellow!" He shouted, muffled a little by his pillow. Lily raised an eyebrow, and sat on his bed.

"James, I think you have Xanthophobia." Lily said, amused.

"Xantho-what?" James peeked his head out of the blankets, seeing Lily in a black sweater.

"A fear of yellow," she giggled, poking James in the cheek. "You dope."

James frowned. Stupid yellow.
