"The thing he was missing"
(Lucas' POV)
Pokemon Trainer Lucas pretty much had done everything he could possibly dream of. He was the Sinnoh League Champion. He conquered the Battle Frontier. He's stopped the nefarious Team Galactic from destroying the world. He's even bested Arceus, the very creator of Sinnoh in battle.
He's accomplished all these amazing feats, and yet he felt incomplete. It was though something was missing. The thoughts on his mind floated towards a certain girl he met when his journey began, one that's been there all along. Her name, was Dawn Berlitz.
The young lady had always been on his mind. Her warm smile, cheerful attitude, and her beautiful figure; just the thought of her made him smile.
He then recalls all the moments they shared together. Baking Poffins in Hearthome. Chatting about Pokemon. And even fighting alongside one another to get her Pokedex back, as well as to save Mesprit.
But most of all, he recalled her giving him a huge hug upon seeing safe after returning from the distortion world, and when we reigned victorious over the Pokemon League.
Every second he's spent with her has made him happier than the last. From the moment he met her till now, he was slowly, but surely falling for her.
"I'm going to go visit her. It's been a year since we last saw each other." Lucas thought to himself as he hopped onto his Staraptor and took to the skies towards Sandgem Town.
(Dawn's POV)
Things weren't quite the same since he left to continue training. He used to drop by the lab all the time just to check on her. He helped her with the duties the professor gave her. They would even just stop by the beach and he would tell her stories about his adventures. The two of them used to go everywhere together. She missed that.
The way he looked at her before he left broke her heart completely. She never got to tell him how she really felt.
"Sigh. Lucas, when will I see you again?" Dawn thought to herself as she watched the waves pass by at the beach of her hometown.
"How about today?" A familiar voice spoke from behind her. Tears of joy rolled down her eyes as she turned around to check who it was.
"Lucas!" She yelled as she ran and took him in an embrace.
(Lucas POV)
And there she was. Even after all this time, she was still as beautiful as ever. It was as though no time at all has passed. The feeling of emptiness he felt was slowly fading in her presence.
"You idiot... All this time I've waited for you to come back." She spoke as she looked at him.
"Well, I'm back now." He spoke as he smiled and wiped a tear from her face.
After a moment of silence between the two, they then turned around, sat on a large on a large stone and began watch the beautiful sunset on the horizon.
"You know Lucas, there was something I always wanted to do before you left..." Dawn nervously spoke as she slowly placed her hand on top of his; causing both of them to blush a furious color of red.
"What would that be?" He quietly replied.
"This." She got out as she placed her lips upon his.
It was though time just shattered. Everything just felt right. Whatever anxiety was in his heart went away.
"You don't even know how long I've wanted that to happen..." He smiled as he gazed upon her with gentle eyes. She really was the thing he was he missing...
