"What are you doing?" I asked stepping from behind an armchair and
clutching Trevor so he wouldn't escape again.
"Nothing, Nevill, nothing." Harry replied putting something behind his back.
I stared at their guilty faces, something was suspicious, and I was going to find out what. "You're going out again."
"No, no, no." Hermione lied to me. "No, we're not. Why don't you go to bed, Nevill?"
Harry glanced at the granfatherclock by the door. He looked as if he were in a great hurry to get somwhere and couldn't waste another second.
I gathered up my courage. "You can't go out," I said as sternly as possible, "you'll be caught again. Gryffindor will be in even more trouble."
"You don't understand," Harry told me as if I were two, "this is important."
I gathered up my courage. I wasn't about to let my friends do something stupid that would take even more points away from our house. "I won't let you do it," I said running in front of the portrait hole. "I'll – I'll fight you!"
"Nevill," Ron yelled at me, "get away from that hole and don't be an idiot…"
"Don't call me an idiot!" I yelled. It's bad enough everyone else did, but the people I thought were supposed to be my friends should call me one too. "I don't think you should be breaking any more rules! And you were the one who told me to stand up to people!" I yelled, surprised at my own anger.
"Yes, but not to us, Nevill, you don't know what you're doing." Ron said exasperated.
Ron took a step towards me and I dropped Trevor. "Go on then, try and hit me!" I said actually raising my fists. "I'm ready!" I lied. The truth was I was scared stiff.
Harry turned to Hermione.
"Do something."
Hermione stepped forward.
"Nevill, I'm really sorry about this."
She raised her wand.
"Pertrificus Totalus!" She cried pointing it right at me.
My arms snaped to my sides. My legs sprang together. My whole body went ridgid, I swayed where I stood and then fell flat on my face, as stiff as a bored. The weird thing was it didn't hurt at all when I fell, but I still couldn't move.
I felt my body being turned over and then stared up at Hermione. I wanted to yell at her, but my jaws were locked tight. So I stared up at the three of them, eyes wide with horror.
"What've you done to him?" Harry whispered.
"It's a full Body-Bind," she replied miserably. "Oh, Nevill, I'm so sorry."
She did look sorry, but I was still unable to move so I didn't feel much towards her but anger.
"We had to, Nevill, no time to explaine." Harry told me.
"You'll understand later, Nevill." Ron told me as they all steped over me and pulled a cloak on. The cloak made them invisable.
Hello? I thought. Is anyone there? I'm all alone, and I can't move. This is really bad…
