Journey into Rapture
Chapter one: Intro
"Forget all you think you know about this life. Cause there's a lot you don't know and would never in your wildest dreams ever find out. Where your going, you will find things so horrid and twisted that your mind will not be able to handle the sudden burst of madness. You will lose all sanity, and will become a psychopathic killer of those in that place. You will not have regret for your actions. No pity. No sorrow. Only anger and delusional thoughts. That is what this place can do to you. But you must not let it. You must rise above all the anger and set free the prisoners held in this terrible place. A place so dark and decrepit that evil itself resides there. Welcome to Rapture. Now would you kindly enter the submarine"? ,
Those were the words that kept flashing in Ryan's head as he sank down towards what from his training, he recognized as Rapture. He was the only survivor, the rest killed when the submarine crashed. He did not have much time before he drowned. He was not prepared for this. He had been trained to storm Rapture with the now deceased group of fellow ex-soldiers, led by the mysterious Nathan Aqueous, the very man who gave Ryan the speech. Nathan was a strange men that recruited Ryan and the others to help take over Rapture. He told them that a woman named Sophia Lamb had taken over Rapture, and needed to be taken down.
Nathan knew more about Rapture than any of the others, and had revealed that he resided in Rapture for a few years. No one knew how he came to find this place. Ryan swam as fast as he could with his injured arm. It had been cut by a sharp piece of metal that came flying at him during the explosion. Ryan quickly made it to a door and managed to get inside. Once inside, he breathed in the much needed air. It smelled like blood. Fresh blood.
Ryan turned around and took in his surroundings. He was in a dimly lit room that looked like an office of some sort. There was a bookshelf filled with books, scattered papers all over the floor, and a desk. And seated at that desk was Nathan Aqueous. "Welcome to Rapture."
"How did you get here before the explosion!?" Ryan questioned. "Because I planned it." "What the hell? You killed all of those men!!" "They were damned since they signed up. Pathetic, all of them. They were fools, only in it for the money I offered. But you… you're different". "Your freaking crazy!!"
"You have to be to be here. I can sense something in you Ryan. You are strong, unlike the others. You have great potential. You"-BANG!!! There was an instant sensation of pain in Ryan's shoulder as the blood flowed onto the floor. "Dammit!!" The splicer that fired the shot came after them. The last thing that Ryan saw before he blacked out was Nathan grab for his machine gun.
