Hey! This is just a short Royai fic based on the song Lullaby by the Dixie Chicks (it's a really great song-if you haven't heard it, youtube it!). I always listen to this song and it always makes me think of Roy and Riza, so I decided to write a fanfic about it! Hope you enjoy it!

Lullaby

Riza sighed as she entered Roy's house. It was very late, but once again she had been working until the small hours of the morning, doing all of Roy's paperwork that he had neglected once again. It had been a very long day, and in just a few hours she would have to wake up once again and go back to do more work. It was a very tiring thought to her.

Riza hung up her coat before walking to the living room. A fire was blazing in the fireplace, and lying on the couch in front of it was Roy. Light snores told her that he was fast asleep.

Riza smiled when she saw him. She was really so lucky to have found him. Her childhood had been hard and bleak, but then she had met Roy. That day when she first met him was the first day she really lived. Roy's friendship had filled up her life back then, and now his love filled her.

She walked over to where he was sleeping and stroked his hair. He looked so peaceful and calm. Tomorrow, there would be another day where they would both have to work, but now she could just enjoy being with him.

Roy woke up and smiled when he saw Riza. "You're back."

"Yes." Riza replied.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

I'm going to miss you a lot once I go on that mission." They both paused as they remembered the mission that Roy had to go on alone in a few days.

"Me too."

"You'll never be far from me though, you'll always be in my heart. If I close my eyes when you're not with me, I can see you and hear you talking." Roy replied to her, smiling.

"You're in my heart too, always. I'll always love you."

"I'll always love you too."

"Forever. I'm never giving you up."

And so they sat there on the couch in each others arms until they fell asleep and were together in their dreams.
