Figuring things out
(there characters don't belong to me unless you haven't heard of them before )
Lizzie couldn't believe that Casey had been secretly dating Derek for the last few months. What she found harder to believe was that she hadn't figured it out sooner. Lizzie was usually good at figuring things out. But with this she hadn't noticed at all. Well maybe she realised that Derek had stopped pranking her sister and well…. the main reason was because she had forced Edwin to tell her whatever he had been hiding. In the end Edwin had given up because he had never been any good at keeping anything from Lizzie.
Lizzie looked up from the report she was writing when her door opened. Edwin sneaked in and closed the door quietly. Then he looked over at Lizzie and smiled. Lizzie smiled back. "Hey," she said quietly, closing her copy of 'Romeo and Juliet'. With her report safely inside, and placing the book on her bedside cabinet. Edwin walked over to the bed and sat down next to her. He placed a gentle kiss on her lips. Lizzie kissed him back. She knew she still needed to figure out how to tell her family that she was in love with her stepbrother and Edwin was in love with her. But at least she could make Edwin keep their relationship a secret until she figured things out.
