A/N, I'm not sure if I need to put a Disclaimer in and say I don't own anything...but I will anyway.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything.

The Last Time I Saw Her

"No! Don't!" I shouted as I chased after her

"Go away...I have to do this." She said in a hard voice

"No you don't, just come back here." She had started walking faster; I was battling to keep up with her

"You don't understand." She yelled

"No, I don't. But I know that this isn't what you want!" I replied

"Yes it is!"

"What about your mom?"

"She works nights, she never sees me so she won't miss me!" her tone was anger mixed with hurt, how could it not be with a mother who valued her work more that her own daughter

"What about me?" I said as a last resort

"There are ways in which we can communicate, stop being so melodramatic." She answered loftly

"I'm being melodramatic? " I hissed

"Yes, you are."

"That's a bit rich coming from the girl who is about to hop on a plane to Brazil to find the father that abandoned her." I said in a travelling voice

"He didn't abandon me."

"Then what did he do?"

She didn't reply.

"That's exactly my point. There are people here that want you around."

"I have to go." She said stubbornly

I grabbed her arm and spun her around. She turned her face away from me; I gripped it and forced her to look at me, "No you don't. We need you here! Your mom needs you."

"Not enough to take a few hours out of her day to spend time with me." She spat

This time I had no reply. We stared at each other for a while and both jumped when a person on a microphone announced that it was time for those going on flight 223 to Brazil, Her plane, to start boarding.

"I'm sorry, I have to go."

"Please!" I begged, I started crying now. "You're my best friend; stay for me."

"I'm sorry. I love you." She said sadly

She pulled me into a tight hug and kissed my forehead. That was the last time I saw her or heard from her, I never found out if she got to her dad or not. Years later I saw on the news that she had been killed in a car accident.

I wish I'd tried harder to stop her from leaving.
