As Alice was flitting around me trying her best to stay at a normal human speed so not to alert Renee, we heard a soft knock on the door. Charlie poked his head through the door and put his hand over his face. "Is it safe to come in?" he asked peaking through his fingers. "Its okay dad, everyone is decent." I told him as Alice pinned another flower in my hair.
"Wow Bells you look amazing." He looked like he was going to tear up so I asked for just a minute with him. Alice nodded her head and ushered Rosalie and Angela out of the room. Renee hugged me for what seemed like the thirtieth million time before she hurried out of the room. As she closed the door I could see her smiling. I knew she wasn't exactly thrilled that I was getting married so young but at the same time I knew she was happy that I was finally happy.
Charlie was quiet for a moment and kept staring at me. "What's up dad?"
" I just wanted to talk to you a minute before its time. Bells I know that I haven't been very supportive of you and Edward but I want you to know that I am glad you found someone that you can love and who loves you. I may not be a huge Edward fan but I know that he will take good care of you and that's really important. And I just wanted to tell you that I love you and I am so very proud of you." As he finished his speech there were tears in his eyes.
"I love you too dad. And in case I've never said it before thanks for letting me come live with you in Forks. It was the best decision that I ever made." I hugged him hard. "It's not easy letting my little girl go, especially so soon but I guess I am overruled" Alice popped in the door. "Bella it is almost time" I broke away from Charlie and smiled. "Dad what ever you do just don't let me trip walking down the isle." I said with a laugh. " Don't worry I got it Bells."
Everyone began to file into the room. I began to understand why Rosalie loved weddings so much. It brought everyone so close together. Esme was standing with her arm around Rosalie's waste and had a smile that went on for miles. Alice was next to Renee and trying her hardest not to bounce up and down, looking even more beautiful than I ever thought possible. Carslie knocked and asked if Charlie would mind coming with him to have a chat with Edward before they began. When it was just us girls Alice pulled something out of the bag she had with her. "For the finishing touches I believe it is customary for the bride to have something new, borrowed and blue. And I bought you something new." Alice pulled out a silver clip and fastened in my hair. " This was your Grams." Renee said handing me a bracelet that had pearls and diamonds. "Its beautiful thank you mom." Esme handed me a box "This is your something blue. Rose picked it out for you when we were in Seattle last month. I opened the box and pulled out the most beautiful blue sapphire ring. "Thank you so much you guys." I smiled at each and every one of them. "Well let's do this." I said taking a deep breath and a step towards the door.
