Our baby Millie

(there characters don't belong to me unless you haven't heard of them before J)

Rob's POV

The last four months had been pretty interesting. Since Jess had been pregnant, she'd been getting craving for chocolate ice cream at 2:20am in the morning. That meant I was being sent out to get it. I didn't mind too much since she was my wife and I would do anything for her. She was doing the hard part, carrying the baby and all I could do was help her in any way possible even if it did mean going out at 2am just for some ice cream.

I walked into the sitting room to find Jess curled up on the couch, reading the latest baby book her mom had bought her. Jess' mom had taken a little while getting used to the fact that Jess was pregnant. But she had come round so it was all ok. I smiled and watched Jess in silence for a bit. She looked completely bored but I knew she was reading it only to keep her mom happy. The other day we had going to Jess' latest scan and we had found out that we were having a little girl. We both were really happy. Through Jess did laugh at my face when we had found out. I was just so happy that we were having a little girl I could protect because I was never able to protect Jess from all the trouble that she got in.

Jess looked up and smiled when she saw me standing there. "Hey, how was work?" she asked. I walked over to the couch and fell down onto it. I pulled her back against me. I felt Jess snuggle closer and I smiled. "It was good, how's your day been?" I asked her, placing a kiss on the top of her head. She shrugged.

"Pretty boring," she told me. I laughed.

"I can tell that baby you're reading another baby book. I've lost count of how many you've read," I grinned. She hit my arm gently.

"Shut it, I've thought of a name," she told me, snuggling closer. I held her against me.

"Really?" I asked. We'd been trying to think of a name for a while but we still hadn't found one we both agreed on.

"Yep, Millie," she smiled. I sat there thinking. Millie was a cute name. It sounded like a proper daddy's little girl, someone who needed to be looked after by her father. I liked it. "I like it babe, good choice," I told her smiling. She turned around and kissed me gently. I kissed her back. I had everything I had always wanted; Jess and our baby girl, Millie.
