--Close Enemies--
Disclaimer: If I owned Naruto…well, Ino would have been the main character…and I would have better internet. xD
Summary: They had been taught to keep friends close, and enemies even closer. Well, they were doing just that. SasuIno
A blonde teen raced towards an unknown place, slightly cursing herself for deciding to take a nap after she had completed her mission. After all, he was the sole reason she always finished her missions earlier than expected. So she'd have the remaining days to herself. So she'd be able to see him.
Ino Yamanaka finally arrived to her destination. She took a minute to catch her breath and rearrange her ponytail. Gah. Maybe she should consider cutting it again. But thinking about it more clearly, she didn't want to. She had grown attached to her blonde strands.
After a minute, Ino walked a bit further. To her surprise, Sasuke Uchiha was still there. He had his eyes closed and was sitting with his back leaning against a tree. His arms were across his chest, making it seem as if he were sleeping. But Ino knew better.
"Sasuke!"
At hearing the Yamanaka's voice, Sasuke revealed his deep obsidian orbs. He turned to look at her and gave her one of his signature smirks. She, in return, gave him one of her sweet smiles as she sat besides him. Her bright cerulean eyes were filled with life.
"Hey."
The two looked into each other's eyes. Both a mix of contentment and fear overcame them. Happiness from being able to see each other, but dread of the consequences that would occur if they were to get caught. After all, both their villages were enemies. And if either one of them were to be discovered, horrific things would happen.
But right now, Ino and Sasuke were alone in their sanctuary—not to be bothered. Ino turned to the Uchiha and tackled him to the ground. Sasuke raised an eyebrow and smirked as his lips rose to meet those of the Yamanaka. His hands rested on her waist as their kiss became more passionate—the taste of forbidden love being too tempting to resist. They shifted their bodies, both lying on the floor, and continued to kiss until the stars began to twinkle above them.
All their loves, both nins had been taught one specific rule regarding their enemies. At a very tender age, they had learned to keep their friends close, but enemies even close. And if anyone were to ask them, they were doing a pretty good job at doing just that.
