Much thanks to Motaki for giving me the prompt to write this! If you haven't already, you should go check out he stuff, as it's brilliant. So with that said, enjoy! Disclaimer- If I owned Doctor Who, the Jack Harkness would still be in Doctor Who episodes on a somewhat regular basis. Like River. Except not.
Amelia Pond and Captain Jack Harkness sat in a small café, each sipping at a coffee casually. The Doctor had landed the TARDIS in Cardiff, saying that there were a few things he needed to do. Realizing that this would mean leaving Amy alone for a few hours, he had offered to introduce Amy to one of his former companions. Amelia had agreed, glad to have a chance to be n the company of someone whom she could talk to, without having them believe that she was absolutely barking mad. So the Doctor had taken her to what appeared to be some sort of town center where, much to Amy's surprise, they had been transported down an invisible lift.
" Now Amy," The Doctor had started. " Whatever happens. under no circumstances are you to allow Jack Harkness to flirt with you. He is relentless." The Time Lord warned.
The Doctor, Jack, and Amy had all met in what appeared to be called 'the Hub'. A fascinating place full of alien technology and, apparently, unless Amy's mind was playing tricks on her, a pterodactyl. However, she didn't have much time to examine the place. After a few minutes of discussion the Doctor had left the building to attend to his own activities, whatever they may be. Jack and Amy had gotten acquainted some before leaving the Hub. They had walked for a while, talking about nothing in particular, before spotting the cafe which Jack suggested they stop at. And there they were now.
"-And then, the great dumbo practically yells, ' Bow-ties are cool!'!" Exclaimed Amelia. Jack laughed heartily and took a sip of his coffee. He shook his head some.
" I swear, that man gets younger mentally, every time he regenerates." The Ex-Time Agent remarked.
Amy nodded her agreement.
" He's, what? 907? 907 and going on five."
" Pretty much. He's- he's like a 907 year old man-child.' Jack mused.
" Mm hmm." Amy agreed. They sat silently for a moment, each wrapped up in their own thoughts.
" He's our 907 year old man-child, though." Amelia mentioned thoughtfully.
"...He absolutely is. And he always will be."
