McShep, mildly suggestive. I tried to make it a little humorous but I don't think it worked...

"Your hair's getting long." John seemed to appear behind him out of nowhere.

"Well with everything that's been going on lately, it's not like there's been an opportunity for a trip back to Earth." Rodney shook his head.

John was right though, his hair was getting long and had started curling up at the ends.

"Hey," John's arms wrapped around Rodney's waist. "I'm not complaining." His voice, low and rough in Rodney's ear, sent a shiver down his spine. He heard a huffed laugh and then felt John smirk against his neck.

Rodney felt John's lips press into the same spot, and his head fell back onto John's shoulder as the other man kissed and nipped a path up his neck and along his jaw until their lips met. Rodney turned in John's arms and almost immediately found himself pinned down against the desk he'd been working at before his boyfriend had come to distract him.

One too many close calls in the lab had taught both them and the science staff that Rodney plus John plus downtime led to PDA and inevitable embarrassment for all parties. There was no one to disturb them here, hidden safely away in Rodney's quarters.

"Wait. The last time we did this here, I almost threw my back out, remember?" That had resulted in a conversation with Carson he really didn't want to have to repeat.

John's lips never strayed far from Rodney's as he manoeuvred them both over to the bed.

Sated and sleepy, Rodney smiled drowsily into his pillow as he felt the warm weight against his back that was John sprawled against him.

Rodney woke an hour or so later at the feeling of short fingernails lightly scratching the back of his neck, and made a contented noise that John swore later was a purr as practiced, gun-calloused fingers ran through the soft curls of hair at the nape of his neck.

"Really not complaining," he felt John murmur into his shoulder. An arm was slung across Rodney's chest as the hand in his hair was replaced by lips at the base of his skull and John's steady, soft breathing against Rodney's neck. It was not long after that that sleep finally claimed them.
