"You're an idiot!" Elizabeth shouted to her older brother, John.
"Not and much as you!" He replied.
She couldn't be madder. She was losing again in a flying race home, but her wings were beggining to felt weak and tired. She decided to take a break, by stopping on a rooftop. Her brother watching and following her.
"Hey, you alright?" He asked in a worried tone.
"My wings are feeling so tired" she said.
"We can continue this race"
"How? I can bare-" she was saying, as she were cutted off.
"Lets run" he said with a smirk on his face.
"You sure?" she asked, surprised.
"Yes. Don't you remember we're different from them?"
"Yeah, right, I forgot" she facepalmed herself.
"So...?" He asked in a playfull tone.
"Okay" she said, smiling. "Just remember running is my thing".
"Of course I remember, but I don't want you to get hurt because of those wings of yours".
"Awww, you care about me?" She said, smiling widely.
"Of course, you're my little sister. What kind of brother would I be without caring about his family?"
She just laughed.
"Just remember, Eliza, just on the rooftops" he warned. "We don't wanna get in trouble again, do we?"
"Okay, okay, I heard you".
"Ready?" She asked.
"I was born ready" he said. She rolled her eyes.
"Set..."
"Go!" And with that, both of them began running. And as she said, she was already ahead.
"Remember to be alert" she barely heard her brother shouting at her.
She was very far away from John, when suddenly, she stumbled with same cables, and began falling from the rooftop she was on. She tried to fly as fast as she could, but she just couldn't. She just could protect herself with her wings. Luckily, she crashed on a window -at least was better than crash into a car, or a tree -. The poor guy who was sleeping when his window crashed to pieces woke up breathing heavily, scared that a thief might was trying to get in. When Elizabeth fell on the floor, Jackson -the poor guy who was sleeping - felt relieved, but surprised at the same time by the beauty of the young winged creature. Elizabeth tried to get up, but she couldn't. She barely saw the guy standing up in front of her. With a breath, she passed out, leaving Jackson shocked of what just happened...
