As I got on the train I noticed that, I was surrounded by animals. I've heard of animals that acted like people, but I didn't think they existed. I sat next to one. She had a bag full of turnips, and looked like a brown, fuzzy pig. I tried to start a conversation, but when I realized she was sleeping, I moved to another seat.
When I sat down the train came to a stop. Was I at my stop already? The silent music on the train's speakers lowered and a voice chimed in, " Now arriving at the town of Fuzzy." Nope. Not my stop, I thought.
A blue and white cat came on the cart. It was coming closer. I realized it wanted to sit with me. Did it just say something? Terrified, I shook my head "Yes" not knowing what would happen next.
"Great!" It said. I just smiled. Who is this?
"My name is Rover, what's yours?"
Was he talking to me? I glanced over at Rover with a clueless expression, "What's my what?" I asked.
Rover just laughed. It wasn't a normal laugh. It was more like "AhbahAhAhAh!" It lead me to think, was I that funny?
"I meant, what's your name?" Rover explained.
"I… I," I stuttered, "I'm Sunny."
"Well I can tell by your personality that you're not cloudy!" He laughed some more then asked a lot of questions. "Where are you going?" is what he started with.
Stalker alert, I thought. I kept my cool. "I'm going to Parker." Rover smiled, "I've been to Parker before. It's a great town."
My eye started twitching. Was I that scared of the stalker cat, or was I getting annoyed? He seemed very nice, so I didn't freak out. I think I just made my first friend.
"How much money did you bring?"
"Enough." I replied.
Rover had another "Laugh-Attack" then he replied, "Your definition of enough is not enough for this town!"
I thought for a moment or two. What would I do if I didn't have enough money?
"Its okay if you don't have enough money for a house. I have a buddy in Parker who can help you out." Rover smiled and got up to go on the phone.
"Thanks!" I hollered to him.
While he was gone I started mumbling while I thought. "Could he read my mind? Do I have enough money?" My mumbling was cut short when Rover surprised me with a quick return.
"My buddy can help you out!" He said really cheery, almost too cheery. "His name is Tom Nook. He owns a little shop next to the train station. I won't be getting off the train with you but he will meet you there."
The music of the speaker was lowered and I almost jumped out of my seat with excitement when I heard,
"Now arriving at the town of Parker."
