Hey guys, I'm Thylaseen and this will be my first attempt at writing a quality piece of Fan fiction, every time you review my work, a picture of a really cute puppy appears on the internet. This is an intro chapter explaining the past of my character, Impact. In this world, Batman is quiet, incredibly effective and sneaky, rarely being seen by his opponent. Like a new level of sneakiness.
Enjoy and review!
Velocity versus Impact
In a world full of superheroes, you've got to pity the little guy. I mean, what's the good of being a boy who's a little too strong for his age when you've got a man who can fly, lift a mountain, shoot lazers and breathe ice? What good is a boy who can jump a little too high for his age when there's another boy who can leap over a building? Why try doing anything at all, when there is always someone who will be better then you? The knowledge that, no matter how hard you try, no matter what you do, where you go, who you know, you will never, ever be the best, is harsh. Circle of life indeed, since there seems to be no point. When there is a villain who has an unmeasurable IQ and the money to steal people's genetic gifts, what point is there in me being a little bit too smart? I'm brave enough to be stupid, brave enough to fight when fighting seems useless, I'm brave enough to fight against bad odds. But I'm not brave enough to leave my friends behind, and ascend to the next life. I'm not brave enough to end myself, when there is no point in living. I go to sleep at the end of a wasted day, with one night bleeding into another, with little sleep and no joy. I hope I will find the point in life, but I doubt it.
Thanks for listening Diary,

Looking back on these diary notes from 6 months ago, it's incredible to think how much my life has changed. Without spoiling anything, I can tell you that my happiness skyrockets. There's some pain, a lot of joy and many growing points. I'll fill you in when I have spare time.
Seeya soon Diary,
P. Pauper / Impact.
