Summary: Biffy has to find homes for all of Mrs. Rumplekittykat's kittens. Unfortunately for him, Lee's his first target.
...
"Here."
Focusing his eyes on the blurry item shoved directly into his face, Lee Ping stared. It was orange, and pretty tiny. And... it was mewing? Focusing further, he caught light blue eyes and duller fur than it's mother.
"Uh, okay?" He took the kitten, holding it carefully in his arms. Snuggs was one of the tinier of RKK's kittens, and Lee was still somewhat worried about hurting it. "Hey little guy, how you doing?" Oh great, he was starting to take after Biffy. Next he'd be holding full conversations with Rumple. He held him back out.
"Keep him." He waved a hand. "I need to find homes for the rest of them, and you get the first."
His jaw dropped. "You're kidding, right?"
"Nope." He pulled his knitting out. "He's all yours."
"I can't keep him!" He lightly pet the kittens back. What? He couldn't deny it, the kitten was adorable.
"Why not?" The bully raised a brow.
He sputtered. "Have you met my mom? She'd never let me keep a pet."
"You can keep conspiracy secrets, but you can't hide a small pet from your parents?" He raised an eyebrow, set the knitting needles down, crossed his arms.
"That's different and you know it." Biffy glared, Lee raised an eyebrow. The look may have scared him last year, but now they were friends and the chances of him getting beaten were considerably smaller than they used to be. Besides, if Biffy was going to beat him up, he wouldn't glare, he'd just grab his collar and start wailing on him.
Biffy sighed, well aware of the glares ineffectiveness. It really wasn't fair, he lamented to himself, eyeing the boy seated in front of him, a simple glare used to make the boy cower in his shoes. Now, he wasn't even afraid of him. Sure, he was more than a little spooked when he threatened him here and there, but otherwise he trusted him completely. So much for his rep.
"Seriously though, I appreciate the offer, but I'm going to have to refuse." He stood up and crossed the room to the cats nest in the filing cabinet. Mrs. Rumplekittykat, curled up in the special blue sweater Biffy'd made her, sat up as he approached. "Here you go, RKK." He placed the kitten next to her. She bent down to lick it's head. "You'll just have to find someone el-" He turned around. "What the?" He turned back to the box. Empty.
Mrs. Rumplekittykat sat on his desk, Snuggs idly playing with a pencil next to him. It's something only ninja's could do yet so normal for RKK (sometimes he wonders if the cat is a ninja). He didn't do it often, but the cat was practically magical when it wanted to get it's point across. She mewled at him. He shook his head "I'm not gonna ask."
Biffy laughed, scratching the cat behind the ears. "I think she's trying to tell you something."
He grunted, sliding back into his seat. Snuggs crawled up his arm into his shoulder, burying his head and snuggling close. He wouldn't be able to do that when he got bigger, but he was just small enough now to do it without having to worry about being to heavy or being unbalanced.
"It's three against one." He commented, smirking.
"Hnn." He rubbed the kitties head. It purred.
"And he's pretty cute. If your mom found 'em, she'd probably swoon."
The red-and-raven-head snorted, futilely attempting to imagine his mother swooning over anything. He failed, miserably. "Well, he is cute..." and the battle was lost. he sighed. "Alright, I'll keep him."
"Now you're talking!"
