Concerning If Only They Knew, I want to leave it as it is for now. I'm kind of afraid that I'm going to stuff it up as I have with another story that I am currently writing. where I've ended it is where it felt like it ended for me, but should inspiration hit there may be another chapter…
I don't own anything.
So this is kind of sad. But it was something I was thinking about in class today. I also figured that Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura should probably leave together as friends, so yeah…
Hope you enjoyed it.
I glanced over my shoulder, seeing the raven black hair and the pink hair reminded me of the old days, sadly though, those aren't going to come back anytime soon. The villagers are worried that I'm going to snap and hurt one of them. The shinobi thankfully know better than that.
But it hurts.
It hurts so much.
It hurts to think about them.
It hurts to remember them.
I look at the image of him.
"Why do I hurt so much?"
I look at the image of her.
"Why did you leave me?"
There is no answer, like there is never any answer. Just the silence and tears. I stand watching time pass, carrying on without them. They told me long ago that there was no right answer, they told me they loved me. They told me what the wrong answer was. I wasn't allowed to follow them. Never. Never to follow them.
It looks like a statue stands over these people, but that is me. Footsteps sound behind me, one foot after the other. One after the other and it stops, just to the side of statue me.
"We need to leave now." The red haired man puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Five more."
The man sighs, holding my hand with his burning two. "You say that each time."
"Five more."
"You're already cold enough as is."
"Five more."
"They will still be here."
"Five more."
"They aren't going to disappear again."
"Five more."
He sighs again, not leaving my side. I know that he will make me go this time as he tugs on my limb. I don't want to follow. I want to stay with the raven and pink haired people.
"They are gone, Naruto." The red haired boy tells me.
"Five more."
"Five more what Naruto?"
I look up at the sky, then at the redhead to my right. "Five more, Gaara."
Gaara leads me to the car. The two people following.
The two sit in the back, holding up my body with theirs.
"Four more."
The boy in front glances to look at me through the mirror. "Your number changed."
"Four more."
The boy looks sad, he turns a corner, just a little too fast. But everything is alright.
"Three more."
"Naruto?"
"Two more."
"What do the numbers mean?"
"One more."
The redhead had looked worried, he was looking in the mirror, looking at me.
He looked frightened, he was looking at the road, at the other car.
He was calling my name, his voice anxious.
He screamed for me to answer. He screamed at not being able to help me. He screamed at being stuck.
There was pain.
It hurts so much.
It hurts in my mind.
It hurts in my heart.
It hurts all over my body.
I glanced over my shoulder, seeing the pink hair and raven haired people. They looked sad. I broke the promise.
"Sasuke."
"Naruto."
"Sakura."
"Naruto."
"I'm sorry."
"Let's go."
They each take a hand, together we walk a long winding road. Hands intertwined, together we will stay.
Again let me know what you think...
