Angel Fallen from Grace
Summary: An interesting look at one of the most heart-wrenching moments in Sailor Stars.
Disclaimer: I don't own Sailor Moon. Naoko-san does.
The stars fell from the heavens after clashing with the golden woman. From down on the ground, a mournful wail can be heard. The angel looked in horror as her friends came hurtling from the sky. She did not like to fight. Fighting is against her credo. She was a soldier born from the love of all, the beautiful princess of the moon. Love can never hate and neither could she. Her seed shimmered with the pale light of the moon. As her friends fell to the golden woman, still she would not raise a hand against her. She believed that all can be saved, that they could understand each other. In her mind, there was no need for fighting.
With a resounding crash, the stars landed, leaving a crater from the impact. The angel could only look in tears as her friends moaned out in pain. As the golden woman came down with her sword brandished, the angel did the only thing that she would do. She interposed herself with a smile and tears in her eyes and stood in the path of the once-brilliant stars.
From out of her body, a miracle happened. The light that was a beacon for all people, Love's true form, came out of her body. It was a lovely light that shined throughout the world. It gives strength to the faint-hearted. The stars basked in the glory that was Love's true form. It was a warm light that gave strength to their weary forms.
The golden woman stopped her attack to analyze this situation. Here it is right before her, Love's true form, the object of power that she had been lusting for and it had come without force. It was a light that was worthy of such a person.
Without remorse, she blasted the beautiful angel. There was no time to react. She cried out in pain as Love's true form was taken out of her body. Her wings were broken and the feathers were shed. Pink ribbons of power under the protection of the moon raced from her, no longer having a conduit to infuse.
The angel fell backwards, now nothing more than a porcelain doll. Lifeless on the ground, that beautiful angel was no more than a memory.
The one who loved her was overcome with grief. Too saddened to form words, she let out her pain in a mournful howl. Her tears cascaded down her dirtied face. It wasn't fair. She was never suppose to die. That was the point of sacrificing their lives so that she may live. It wasn't suppose to end like this. The stubborn star, who was wary of lending her strength to someone that was her princess but learned to trust this angel, looked upon this terrible event like a person would looking from the outside. She could not believe that, of all the deaths she witnessed, the angel would die. She shed her tears also. The analytical star also had tears in her eyes but she refused to let them fall. She believed in the angel. How could the Light of Hope fall to the golden woman? She was the one destined to bring the reign of Chaos to an end. How could she die?
If the angel could speak, what would she say to the stars? She would say do not cry for me. I did this so that you may live. I love you all. You are all my friends.
But the stars did not hear that. They mourned greatly for the angel that they called a friend.
But they should know that her death was not in vain. Because of her death, the Angel of Compassion can now be born. With Love's true form and the help of the hearts beating in space, she will save the golden woman from the darkness.
But that hasn't happened yet, and for now, she will be known as the Angel Fallen from Grace.
So tell me. How did I do? Leave your review and tell me what you think.
