The master chiefs space craft explored through the deep dark space on it's mission to get back to earth.
Cortana: Chief, Earth should be in sight in about 45 minutes.
As usual the Master Chief said nothing. He didn't want to remember his terrors on the covenant planet. The covenants unity was dying and The Flood were spreading. He needed to get back to earth to report what he had seen and find out what was happening on Earth. The Master Chief stared out the window of his large vast ship for 45 minutes which felt like an eternity until finaly he saw nothing.
Master Chief: Cortana what the hell is going on!?
Cortana: What do you mean Eart- Oh my god! I cant sense any beacons of human life or anything for that matter! It couldn't no it cant be.
Master Chief: What can't it be.
Cortana: The covenant might've reached Earth before us. They could have some other super weapon one that goes beyond the strength of Halo! It's called they call it "The Machine of Destruction" but it's really called Weapon X. It was built by the four runners to destroy planets and if it gains enough power destroy a whole race. Something was wrong with the weapon for some reason there wasn't enough power to work it. But now I fear the Covenant have found it and used it against Earth.
Master Chief: So lemme guess: I have to infiltrate the planet it revolves on, find it's control room or something that works it, and find a way to destroy the covenant with it?
Cortana: Everything is right except for that last part. It's too dangerous to try and use it against the Covenant or The Flood. All we have to do is destroy it. Unless we can find out someway to use it against the Covenant. There still is human inhabited worlds that the covenant may not know about. I suggest we head to the human world of New Gettsyburg to get some help.
Master Chief: Fine by me. I'll head there right now.
The chief ran to the cockpit and set it to hyper speed as he sped off to New Gettsyburg through the bowels of space.
