Prologue
Her claws failed to hurt her opponent's soft belly. The tom pinned her down, digging his unsheathed claws deep into the ginger she-cat's shoulders. The she-cat let out a yowl of pain, her struggles getting weaker and weaker. The tom seemed to be enjoying the ginger cat's pain, he sneered, raising one claw over the other cat's throat.
"Say hello to my mate for me!" The tom extend his claws until they were parked on the she-cat's throat. "Any last words?" He snickered.
The ginger cat's blue eyes blazed with anger, "You piece of fox-dung! I knew you were always jealous of my choice, but I didn't know you would go this far." She laughed bitterly. The tom dug his other claw deeper into her flesh. This time she didn't even flinch. The tom's yellow eyes shone with desperation.
"If you kill me, my family will still live on. With my mate and my kits. You can't change the past." She rasped. The tom knew she was right yet he still denied it.
"But I can change the future!" He spat and tore the she-cats throat, blood spilled everywhere staining the tom's dark pelt with a scarlet liquid. The she-cat snarled.
"I'll never love you…" She whispered and closed her eyes for the last time, excepting her fate. The tom's eyes stretched wide in horror with a realization of what he did. He was a murder, he killed in cold blood. But it felt good. The tom scared look turned evil, yes, he loved the sensation, he would kill again.
Starclan's prediction came true; tonight blood shall be spilled…
