I just wrote this really quickly! Misty meets a kid that reminds her of Ash. One shotttttttt. Sorry for poor grammar, I hope it's at least semi-readable...
Ash. That's who she saw when the boy entered the Cerulean City gym. Not "Joey" as he'd introduced himself, but Ash. The crazy, immature, over-confident kid that she had traveled with so many years ago. She didn't really know why the younger boy reminded her of Ash, maybe it was his Indigo League t-shirt, or his "I'm going to win!" attitude.
Misty couldn't help it. She couldn't help missing Ash. She knew that Ash probably didn't even remember her, but she certainly remembered him.
The boy, Joey, stood up on the platform across from Misty on the battlefield. "C'mon, let's start the battle!"
Misty blinked her thoughts away and pulled out a Pokeball "Ok, get ready! Go Starmie!"
After the battle, Misty smiled at Joey and held out a small specially shaped piece of metal "Here you go, the Cascade Badge!"
"Yes! Thanks!" Joey held up the badge triumphantly.
"You're gonna make it far kid," Misty assured. "You remind me of a guy I used to know" the gym leader smiled. "I bet you'll meet him someday".
Joey smiled awkwardly and turned to leave after muttering a "thanks'.
"Hey were you talking about me?" Misty turned to see Tracey Sketchit walking up to her, he visited quite often.
"No, Tracey!"
Anyone see the Pokemon 2000 reference at the end with Tracey? Hope I wasn't the only one XD
