Leah sat, her hands clenched into fist, sighting herself. Keeping herself from phasing. She didn't want to phase, she was sure that at least one of the other wolves would be on patrol.
Leah didn't want to talk.
Leah didn't want to think.
Leah Clearwater wanted to die.
At that particular moment that was her greatest wish.
Almost.
The only thing that was even close to being her greatest wish other then that was something that was never going to happen.
Death how ever could.
The rain poured around her, falling in buckets. Leah loved the rain, it was the only time she could cry and just say it was the rain, or not have anyone notice at all. And to Leah crying was a weakness, and she was not weak.
She couldn't be weak.
Why? She thought. But she knew the answer. Jacob wasn't weak.
And Leah would have to be good enough for Jacob. Leah had to be perfect for him, he was perfect for her.
Even though he was taken by a baby.
And Leah, she'd never be taken.
Not even a baby,
Leah wouldn't imprint. Which meant she had to rely on real love, love that could really truly happen.
True love.
Not imprinting.
But if Leah could imprint, she knew who'd she's imprint on.
And he was taken by a baby.
Renesmee.
Leah wasn't even competition for a half vampire baby.
But even if he was taken, she loved him.
He had helped Leah get over Sam. He helped her realize who she was. He'd also helped her realized that Sam wasn't everything. And that Sam was taken by Emily and that Leah needed to move on.
But Jacob was taken by perfect little Renesmee.
And Leah loved him. And this time she wasn't getting over anyone. She just knew, he was perfect for her. That they were perfect for each other.
Leah knew it.
But another thing that Leah knew was that she couldn't do anything about it. An imprint was forever. Even for someone who couldn't imprint.
Leah got up, tears no longer running down her cheeks.
And lastly, hiding her thoughts she broke into a run and phased, because in a way, she'd be with him, and she knew it. She loved Jacob.
