Looking around, she new she was in trouble. Too many bad things gone wrong in one day. Her mom came in.
She/ she screams in silence/ a sullen riot penetrating through her mind/
And she looked up. She backed up, her back hitting the side of the counter. And her mom just came closer.

She heard an easy, gentile voice. She answered. To calm. And she felt pain. Surging up through her head.
Are you locked up in a world that's been planned out for you/
She knew she had one chance. To get help. To live longer. She screamed.

Nothing happened. 'He said he'd be there for me'. going through her mind as down, down, down she fell. Pushed. Hands on her. Tears. Scared.

Anger. Pain. Tears dripping lightly down her swollen cheeks.

Mental pain. Images flashing through her mind. Physical pain. She felt blood. She was flashing. Fainting. Standing was no possibility.

She heard something fall in the other room. She was momentarily released. She ran as fast as she could. Up the stairs. Down the hall.

Terror streaked around her eyes. Thoughts of what had happened.

She reached her room and locked the door. Safe at last. At least for now. She found her cell and dialed her best friend's number, ready to pour her heart out to the only one who understands.
