-1Sweet as Candy
Summary: Sora just wanted to do something special for his sweet heart…
Starry's Corner: Yeah…those who know me know I don't like Valentines' Day very much…overrated if you ask me, but it's a good reason to throw some harmless fluff at my fans! Hugs and Kisses for my fans on Valentines' Day! Starry loves you!
Riku heaved an impatient sigh as he glanced at his watch, watching the seconds tick away slowly. The silver haired man stood alone in an elevator, slowly raising to the fourth floor of his apartment building. He was running a little late. Traffic was murder when he decided to leave the office early (oddly enough, to avoid traffic) to get home to his lover on this special day; Valentines' Day.
Now the twenty year old was glaring at the digital read out of the floors: Two….Three…it seemed like it'd never get to four…Riku seriously wondered if there was extra weight on top of the elevator or something…Four.
"Finally!" Riku sighed, stepping out when the moving metal box came to a stop and the doors slid open.
He hurried down the hall, not really paying attention to the growing beeping noise that seemed to fill the hallway as he made his way to the apartment he shared with his five year boyfriend; Sora.
…Sora…
God. He loved him. He always had. Really. Since they were kids…it had just taken the silver haired man awhile to realize it and in the process nearly lose his true love to their best female friend (who was happily married and expecting her first child). There wasn't a day that went by that Riku didn't thank God for his little chocolate haired lover.
As he neared his apartment, the beeping noise that he had ignored finally came to his attention. Simply because it sounded like it was coming from his apartment.
The aquamarine eyed man blinked, slowing his steps in the hall. Coupled with the noise was an acrid smell. And it all seemed to come from his apartment.
With nervousness welling up inside of him (he knew his lover's lack of cooking skills, but his liking of trying to…'surprise' Riku) he reached his apartment door in about two steps. Throwing open the door, "Sora?"
"Damnit! Damnit! Damnit!"
Riku rushed into the kitchen where he saw the source of the noise and smell, "Baby…are you okay?"
The cocoa smudged man sniffed, throwing the still smoking pan into the sink before turning on the cold water. The smoke died with a loud sizzle. "I'm just fine!"
With a single silver eyebrow arched, Riku walked over to his lover, "If you don't mind me asking you…" He started, wrapping his arms around his distressed boyfriend, "…what were you trying to do?"
Sora pouted for a moment, hastily wiping a tear from his cheek, "I wanted to do something special for you." He replied softly, his voice just barely heard.
Riku slowly nodded, pulling the brunet to his chest, "What were you trying to make?" He asked, leaning down to press a haste kiss to the man's lips.
"I was trying to make chocolate…but, I burnt it." Sora said, looking up at his silver haired lover, "I scorched another one of your pans…"
The silver haired man chuckled softly, pressing his lips to the brunet's forehead, "It's alright, baby." He said, "You know you didn't have to do anything for me."
"I know." Sora replied, burying his face in his lover's chest, "But, you always do something for me. I wanted to do something nice for you, for once."
Riku sighed, "Baby…having you is enough…it's always been and it always will…"
